computers were never made for hands

I found the obvious solution to repetitive strain injury.

Process

Trying to draw forefeet that’s supposed to look different from hands can be difficult, especially if it’s dragon forefeet. Often times they look almost identical to hands, I mean mine are like that! (To the point where I call them hands, even though they’re technically forefeet.) And I did worry if it looked too weird, but like most things I worry about, it wasn’t a problem.

I didn’t clean or color it. It would’ve looked better for sure but somehow I didn’t feel it was necessary. It’s not even like a “sketch of an idea” in the same manner as whack-a-mole either, it’s something more akin to an informational piece. As much as I like to have solid reasons for everything, it’s perfectly OK to make decisions that just come down to “because it felt right.” Not everything needs a reason.

The rough animation (done in Krita, as usual) was very roughly timed, but I used Blender for the text and the final timing, since the timing is heavily dependent on the appearance of text (to give viewers time to read them).

Here’s the timelapse of the animation, followed by its rough timed version:
